They were already at 283k followers when they said they'd add it in if they hit 300k. Sounds to me like they wanted it to happen.

I'm pretty sure the developers have already planned this out and that "the sex update" isn't going to be anywhere near as hardcore as the article implies. The Sims had sex, remember.

Woohoo-ing*

Thanks to that meme, I now know about this cool game. If they make any sex update, they should make it a special optional DLC. Alternatively, a second version of the game could be sold. It seems like a tricky thing to pull off while keeping the community happy. Maybe free keys could be offered to existing players that want them.

It is an optional DLC. They won't release a second version of the game other than a complete edition when they're done producing DLC for it.

This is literally the community getting what it wants

Their previous update wasn't optional. I had to replay the game to get back my 100% achievement status lol

That tracks for a cult.

Holy hell. The small amount of screen I could actually see on that article that wasn't ads. Article websites are getting so horrid. The bottom was a super huge banner the top was a video ad playing.

Cult of the Lamb is fun tho

you should use an adblocker

[–] Doxatek@mander.xyz 3 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Yeah this is true. I have an ad blocker browser app for my phone but the app opens it in normal browser

[–] snooggums@kbin.social 5 points 11 months ago (1 children)

You will need to change your settings to make it open in the ad blocking browser. That might be the mobile device default or the app you are using.

Firefox +uBlock Origin extension on mobile and all I got was a well formatted article that was easy to read.

[–] sugar_in_your_tea@sh.itjust.works 1 points 11 months ago

Yup. If you're on iOS, I hear mobile Safari has ad-blocking as well.

Firefox article mode moment

I suspect the sex will be carried similarly to The Sims or old cartoons, where there's something blocking the view of the act, but some "squishing" of the bush and hearts flying around.

The age rating hopefully won't change after this update, as we made sure content adheres to guidelines. Obviously everyone is different but I doubt you won't be able to play in front of your kids if you do already!

I dare not make eye contact with those parents.

Not blocked very well if we can still see bush. :p

[–] SPRUNT@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

Fuck that. They should go full "Team America" and make it as explicit as possible.

Nope. the ESRB rating is T.

[–] HurlingDurling@lemm.ee 1 points 11 months ago

Ah, then yes, a new esrb rating might be needed then

[–] Sanctus@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago

Idk I read on another post it was rated T, and idk what is going on but the rating wasnt even on wikipedia when I checked it I feel blind.

[–] lowleveldata@programming.dev 5 points 11 months ago

Ratings are for the weak anyway

It's English. Every word is a noun, verb, and adjective at the same time.

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 11 months ago

Funny, I thought it was the Scots that used that as a verb. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤫
