I feel like a highlighted basic "kbin how to" on the frontpage would really help kbin in the beginning, I still feel like I don't know exactly how all of this works, didn't knew what things like "boost" means, the difference between adding a new article/ post/ photo is still not clear to me. Just a really simple 1 minute how to would really help this page get going and help stranded redditors and new people :)

@mpro

Welcome and I hope things are not too overwhelming.

It’s not quite the FAQ I think you’re looking for, but this little one might help with a few things. I’m working on more and hopefully will have a third one soon.

Good luck and cheers

This is a great idea, coming from someone that's joined this week. There's a load of useful information across the various magazines/threads but it's been a case of digging through and learning bit-by-bit. Having a smoother new user experience can only be a good thing to grow the community

Funny you should say that because created a magazine this morning for this exact reason!

It's called m/quickstart and it's intended to get new users up an running as quickly as possible. Don't expect too much there's literally 2 subscribers and it's basically just me posting mobile screenshots on the microblog with the tag #quickstart.

The only thing I'm consistently having issues with is seeing a list of just the magazines I'm subscribed to.

You can go to your Profile page > Subscriptions but it's not ideal, it's a card-like grid instead of a simple list to search or sort through. It's also missing an import/export option to easily sync subscriptions between different accounts.
