Needless to say, the patients are the real victims here. But let's be honest. You have no right to be surprised at this outcome when you buy equipment from an infamously privacy disrespecting company. Here's hoping the hospitals win and that they fire the dumbasses that made this deal.

When will it end with Facebook's creepiness?
Sadly only when Facebook/Meta ceases to exist.
While I think this will result in a miniscule fine by the fed, HIPAA has some of the strictest fines of any US Govt violation and could easily be a multimillion/multibillion dollar fine if it was taken seriously and they wanted to make a statement for healthcare privacy.
