Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience
- Be nice :)

KeepassXC. I like to keep things in a physical file. It also supports key files
GNOME Secrets on PC and KeepassDX on Android.
Just this week LastPass was hacked. Not the password database I guess, but it really points out how silly the idea of holding everyone's passwords in your server is.
Even when i take into account the subscription, the fact that it is owned by a company and thus centralized, i still go with 1Password. For the simple reason that it works on all my devices, has a dedicated application and browser plugins and through the years has just worked for me.
For me, at this moment, it is that part convenience to keep using it.

I use 1Password, but I'm probably going to migrate to a self hosted Vaultwarden before my next renewal.
