Mastodon was such a freeing experience I wanted to have the "Federated social media alternative" for other sites too.
Sopuli's Default Community
Community for all jibber-jabber. As this is a hard-coded community for every instance, we may get this doing something useful.
Simple test posts to !test_community@sopuli.xyz
Meta-discussion regarding the instance and support in problem situations !meta@sopuli.xyz
Yhteisö kaikenlaiselle pälätykselle. Koska tämä on kovakoodattu yhteisö jokaiselle instanssille, voimme tehdä tällä ehkä jotain hyödyllistä.
Yksinkertaiset testiviestit mielellään !test_community@sopuli.xyz
Instanssia koskeva metakeskustelu ja tuki ongelmatilanteissa !meta@sopuli.xyz
Same!
I try avoid any closed source software. When I found out that there was a FOSS alternative to reddit, Ieft reddit and joined here.
PS. https://alternativeto.net/ is great tool for finding libre alternatives, even though the site itself is proprietary.
Found out about kbin from a post saying the fgc community was setting up there. I liked it but wanted to use a mobile app so made an account here and I'm liking it too so far. I learned to like the mobile browser ui for kbin as well but now I feel like both platforms can have their own place.
Started on mastodon - lemmy kicked off as a project, which had a lot of discussion at the time.
