I have a [TOPIC] joke, but [CONDITION]

Have fun, children

[–] riodoro1@lemmy.world 6 points 11 months ago (3 children)

Doesn’t anyone use light mode?

[–] Candelestine@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

Too much blue light. I want a mode that limits blue light in the evening, and I don't want to have to switch modes during any given day.

So, night mode it is.

It's just part of my sleep cycle management, alongside watching caffeine in the afternoons and trying to keep a somewhat consistent schedule. If I stop, I'll start running into trouble.

First noticed the problem appearing in my 30s, and eventually figured out that sleep is just too important to fuck with.

No, why would they? We don't like tired eyes or tired batteries

Embrace the darkness

Problem with using chains like this as meme templates is it wastes a lot of time by making people read through the chronologically previous entries to make sure the creator used the same "tree" everyone else is.

They just don't scale very well. So, more people are just going to dump their contributions in the comments than usual, instead of bothering to make an image version.

They just don't work as well, which imo, is why they're fairly rare despite being often pretty funny and good.

One of the things Tumblr did better than everyone else. It's chained reblogs don't resize the original post and you can watch the chain in chronological order. You could've seen it in screencaps made there. Sometimes it leads to really cool random collabs.

Example.

I have a good reply but I posted it under this comment.

That joke didn't fly, either.

I have a mechanical joke but it takes a non-standard tool.
