Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

I wish them both complete success in this endeavor.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 16 points 11 months ago

Same. First time I've ever wished them anything but ridicule, misery and irrelevance.

And nothing of value was lost.

[–] atzanteol@sh.itjust.works 39 points 11 months ago

She added in another post to Shapiro: "You have been acting unprofessional and emotionally unhinged for weeks now

Oh Candace... You have some googling to do if you think it's only been weeks.

message to Twitter, formerly X

Nobody tells me anything around here.

[–] thesprongler@lemmy.world 15 points 11 months ago

Oh I didn't tell you, I changed it back.

[–] Digital_Prophet@kbin.social 35 points 11 months ago (4 children)

This is the first time in a long time where you can say "no matter who loses, we win," instead of the other way around.

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

They could both fail to destroy the other.

How can we help them do it?

[–] Nougat@kbin.social 32 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Owens tweeted:

No government anywhere has a right to commit a genocide, ever. There is no justification for a genocide. I can't believe this even needs to be said or is even considered the least bit controversial to state.

That is what drew the ire of Shapiro.

"The question is about Candace Owens," Shapiro said in the video posted to X by user @LoomerLs. "I think her behavior during this has been disgraceful, without a doubt."

Shapiro's answer was met with applause from the audience, followed by his acknowledgment that Owens "still works at my company."

"I think that her faux sophistication on these particular issues has been ridiculous," Shapiro added. "Everybody can see the moves that she's making and the things that she's saying, and I find them disreputable."

[–] Algaroth@lemmy.world 26 points 11 months ago (2 children)

"faux sophistication". Pot calling kettle black.

[–] Sharkwellington@lemmy.one 16 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Just using the term "faux sophistication" is faux sophistication if I've ever seen it.

[–] Algaroth@lemmy.world 10 points 11 months ago

I don't think I've ever seen a more pretentious douchebag other than Jordan Peterson.

These people can't stand eachother, they are all grifters and it's so easy to pit them against eachother.

[–] toothpaste_sandwich@feddit.nl 11 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Is this a strategy that could be stimulated, somehow?

[–] NoiseColor@startrek.website 13 points 11 months ago

For sure it could. There is always at least one thing that they disagree on. When one of them is a woman, it happens by itself.

[–] NatakuNox@lemmy.world 20 points 11 months ago
[–] June@lemm.ee 20 points 11 months ago

In the immortal words of Dr Ishiro Serizawa:

“Let them fight”

[–] just_another_person@lemmy.world 17 points 11 months ago

Two monumental pieces of human garbage. Can't wait.

[–] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.world 16 points 11 months ago (2 children)

I mean, why would boy-hitler hate a black person who is also a woman? Does he not see that she agrees with him that only conservative straight white men are jesus' chosen leaders for planet earth and that non-conservatives should be slaughtered wholesale?

[–] ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca 9 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

Why would girl-Hitler hate a jew? Does she not see that he agrees with her that only Christian Conservative males are Jesus’ chosen leaders for planet earth and that non-Christians should be slaughtered wholesale?

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 15 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Back in the day, Reagan wanted a 'Big Tent.' Nowadays, the Gipper is just another RINO neoliberal

[–] Chainweasel@lemmy.world 28 points 11 months ago (1 children)

"better to have them inside the tent pissing out than outside pissing in"
Well, now they're inside the tent and pissing all over the floor

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 6 points 11 months ago

"A Flash Of Green" by John D. MacDonald. Great little novel about a Florida land grab and local corruption. Written in the Kennedy years.

A one point, the main political boss sends one of his stooges to get rid of the married banker's girl friend. The stooge asks what's wrong with the banker getting a little action on the side. The boss tells the stooge that the banker is being too brazen and people are startign to talk. They plot needs the banker to look clean.

If they did the story today, the plotters wouldn't send her out of town, they'd make her head of the 'Sluts For Trump.'

TIL Candace Owens. For th lazy: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candace_Owens

She's a token black American conservative, and conspiracy theorist. She has a political talk show on the Daily Wire which is a conservative propaganda outlet.

[–] Semi-Hemi-Demigod@kbin.social 18 points 11 months ago (2 children)

A lot of these conservative talking heads, including Candace Owens, are just actors recruited from a talent agency

[–] Pissnpink@feddit.uk 4 points 11 months ago

Paid actor implies she's scripted and saying other people's words. She might parrot right wing talking points, but shes doing it because she's a grifter.

[–] 1847953620@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

Shapiro is a failed showbiz writer, too. Hmmmmmm...

[–] Deceptichum@kbin.social 8 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

Add to that the Daily Wire is Shapiros shitrag, so he’s her boss in this situation.
