From the article it sounds like Interislander is NZ owned (by kiwirail, a state owned enterprise) but Bluebridge is not NZ owned.
That makes sense. Kiwirail isn't exactly known for their competence
As Dave said, Interislander is owned by Kiwirail, and they own their boats, to the best of my knowledge. I didn't realise Bluebridge wasn't NZ owned any more.
Guess I had trouble parsing that sentence in the article. Makes sense.
To be fair, a few of the 'incidents' listed are simple engineering issues, but yes, quite an eventful year!
One of them was an "engineering issue" that almost turned into "running around in a storm".
