That’s wild! Now I want to see what a beekeeper’s hive boxes look like during the middle of a solar eclipse. 🌝
Nature and Gardening
All things green, outdoors, and nature-y. Whether it's animals in their natural habitat, hiking trails and mountains, or planting a little garden for yourself (and everything in between), you can talk about it here.
See also our Environment community, which is focused on weather, climate, climate change, and stuff like that.
(It's not mandatory, but we also encourage providing a description of your image(s) for accessibility purposes! See here for a more detailed explanation and advice on how best to do this.)

So if you're getting attacked by bees, run into a cave? Or turn the sun off.
Possibly the best use for a Clapper light switch.
If I recall from the last time this was posted on the alien site it's less about flying in the dark and more about the light suddenly going out. In nature that means an impending storm most of the time, so the bees immediately land for shelter.
Thanks for clarifying!
@Joeyfingis@beehaw.org do you think it hurts when they drop or they just know how to land super fast?
That is so interesting!!
