I am looking to get better at native app development so why not make an app to provide access to this community? 😁

Comment here if you want to join the beta testing group. I will post updates from time to time.

This Fediverse thing is blowing my mind a bit, I feel like I'm too old for it!

I'm here using Jerboa for Lemmy and this is my first comment.

I think this is going to be great. Tbh, I joined Diaspora a few years ago but never got into it. Things have improved.

Thanks for doing this, it's great to be here. I'll skip the beta but looking forward to trying the app.

Cheers!

This is a cool site that I would be interested in testing, but where can I learn the backstory of this software? Also, tbh I am very concerned without an email or any type of anti-bot protection that this site could be easily compromised. Btw, is this project something you've been working on for a long time or just recently?

I didn’t build the software for this site. It is built by a different team and it is called “Lemmy”.

What do you mean: without an email?

And yeah when the community gets bigger, I am sure bots will become an issue. But we’ll have to tackle that when it happens.

I expect to have a minor beta by tomorrow evening. What mobile platform are you on?

i would like to join the beta when it comes, but i am on android without google and that app looks like apple with the bar at the bottom

It is actually a native app for both. But you’re right, I selected an iOS looking navigation structure. Would you have an example of something that feels more “android”?
