That's pretty much it. I think it'll look cleaner and fit in better with other communities.

Hi, I'm the only mod here. I've been intending to put up a post on the future of this sub, but I've been unwell and not in front of my computer.

One of the things I was going to ask is renaming this community to "Formula 1". You've already beat me to the point, and seem to have a unanimous vote for it, so consider it done.

Edit: Done.

Appreciate it. Just out of curiosity what else do you have planned for the sub (are they still called that?) going forward

I'm mostly considering what the mod team needs to look like and what rules we should have. Eg, should we be able to link to streams, should we allow spoilers in post titles, how should we handle race weekends, and what kind of content do we want to allow (ie news, in depth technical discussions, memes, nice pictures of F1 cars).

Doubtlessly as the community grows this will need continuous reviewing, but I'd like us to set a good baseline of standards for us to work with for now.

I want to make a proper post about all of this with a survey so that all of us can have a say.

Fair enough. For all it's faults I'm fairly happy with the rules on r/Formula1. I'm not sure if Lemmy has support for spoiler tags and flairs to sort posts, but it might be a good starting point.
