7, then 9 and 12. My parents bought me ages and my sister seasons. I remember waiting on her to finish her playthrough so I could swap over to seasons. After twilight princess I made the switch over to PC and caught up on missed games with emulators starting with the original. Played everything including TOTK
Patient Gamers
A gaming sub free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.
5! My uncle got me OoT for Christmas when I was a kid. He didn't know I wanted it, he just really liked it and thought he'd get me a cool video game, but I remember seeing the commercial for it on TV and wanting to play it really badly.
I played SO much of that game. I sucked at games as a kid (but I adored them) so I got it when I was probably ~7 and didn't beat it until I was probably ~15. lol And it was only thanks to help from friends. I have since beaten it multiple times, and I've beaten Majora's Mask, Link's Awakening (Switch remake), Four Swords, I 100%ed BotW + DLC, and I am well on my way to beating TotK. So I have improved at video games, thankfully. lol
I was around for 1, didn't play any until 5, and have only played 5 and 6.

I played some of the original game as a kid and then much later played some of Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker, but the first game I actually finished was Breath of the Wild. To be fair though, I never had any of the Nintendo consoles between the SNES and the Wii U.
#1 was my first, #5 and #6 were my 2nd and 3rd. I wish they'd port 4 swords to the switch and give it online co-op, I'd love to play through it with other people
#7 for me. Kind of surprised that answer isn't more common here. Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages occupied so much of me and my friends time back when they came out.

#1 I’m almost 40
I can't give an exact number because I had the gamecube collector's edition disc, but it was either 5 or 6, just roaming around both as an itty bitty without ever beating the games until I was like 12. Played the wind waker demo many times too. Was terrible at Zelda 1 and 2.
I'm an old head. OG gold cart. I remember being so disappointed with Zelda 2. Now I kinda wanna go back to it. It had a really cool score.
Wind Waker will always have a special place in my heart. It was the first game to open a whole world of exploration for me.
I played 1 and 2 a bit but I was way too young. The first Zelda game I really enjoyed was Link to the Past
#1, which I rented from my local video rental store back when video rental was all small, locally owned businesses - until I was eventually gifted a cart of my own for my birthday. I tried to find it not that long ago when I stopped to visit my parents. I found my original 8-bit NES and all of my games except Zelda. I suspect my niece, who had been living in my old room for a number of years, may have found it on the top shelf of the closet and realizing its value either sold it or gave it to her boyfriend.
Mine was ocarina of time on 3DS, which gave me motion sickness and that's how I learned 3D (as in movie 3D not CGI) and gaming simply don't mix.
number 1. I'm an 80s baby ^^
Number 3 is my all time favourite though.
If we're counting 3DS remakes, I'm a number 6. Otherwise, I guess I'd be a number 9 through the WiiU iirc.
First ever was #1, first one I beat was #11 though
No phantom hourglass then?
I did not do the image myself, but it would seem not. Apparently, the OP didn't bother to add 5 of the 20 Zelda games... I didn't notice it because I mostly played the old Zelda games, but that's kinda bad... sorry about that.
