10 days later and I've got my taste back! Oh yeah.
The man bought me a chocolate self-saucing pudding. It says it serves 4-6. We'll see about that.
😂 No one should ever suggest pudding serving sizes to me.

Kids got gastro. Has had it all weekend. We thought he was better, but I just ended up covered in puke so me thinks not better.

So I'm going to get tested for coeliac disease. If it turns out I do have it, it's gonna be a little tricky to navigate at first, but I'm happy to give up pasta and bread if it means I have a better quality of life.

Internet in this country is an absolute rip off.
It’s a drag on our productivity. Fucking joke.
Being in Singapore the past two weeks it honestly makes me feel embarrassed what I'll be going back to (putting aside the differences in scale and density)
I just dropped a full carton of eggs. Fortunately they stayed in the carton so the mess is not too bad, but dinner tonight is now confirmed as quiche.

gah this is so hard, i think i need to see a psych. i'm international (no medicare). any idea where to start? how much do they cost? does insurance cover it? probably will need to talk to my gp & insurance provider?
Chat to your GP first, they should have a list of recommendations for psychs they can give you, or generate a referral.
Typically, it can be between $150 - $400 depending on the clinic/psych. Medicare wouldn't help much; mine is $275 and I get $80 back 😓

Not me posting recipes like my stomach isn't wrecked and I haven't become intolerant to everything. And posting frugal tips like I didn't miss a big energy discount and am not still being charged for a non-working service I haven't got around to sorting out yet. 💸
But you know. It's better than doomscrolling, and if it helps someone else...
It may be the (not-Covid, hooray!) anvils in my brain or just regular overthinking. All sealed, no nuts, and some stickers for the sugarless/food dye issues. Have I missed anything?

I had weetbix and blueberries.
Since doing this diet thing, I've totally fallen in love with blueberries. They have almost zero kj, taste amazing and right now you can get a week's supply for $5 (two punnets).
My lunch is basically 15 blueberries, 4 strawberries and a banana. Most of the kilojoules of that come from the banana.

So watching my new dripper hose system fail in different parts (where I forgot to use the clips) is sparking joy. I took the pressure reducers off because it wasn't enough and now it's too much. It's so counter-intuitive. I need to break it to feel comfortable.
Has anyone seen Rat tests in chemists that also test for RSV? I have a feeling that may be what I have but I don't really want to deal with getting a PCR by going to a GP if I can avoid it.
