Subreddit = Community

  1. Make an account on this or an other Server.
  2. Search here for an community, e.g. "linux".
  3. Copy the URL form step 2 into the search.
  4. Shortly you should be able to join your desired community.

Clients

Could it be more complicated?

Surely.

Hi, new Lemmy noob here. I copy the link from step 2 but the link for search opens my browser and is unresolved and when I paste it in the search using the jerboa app nothing gets returned. What am I doing wrong?

when I paste it in the search using the jerboa app

These instructions are about the webinterface. I think the jerboa app just does not work this way. You might be lucky and just enter the name of the community/subreddit into the jerboa app search.

If it does not work just use the webinterface for subscription.

Is the Lemmy Community Browser down at the moment? All I’m seeing is a title header.

It finally loaded. I think the API is just being a little slow at the moment. Thanks!
