Why are some Lemmy communities/magazines not appearing in kbin? (kbin.social)

So, I want to see bch@lemmy.world, however, when opening it here it's just a 404. There are also a few other communities that when searched isn't present. Why?

They'll show 404 until they're federated, and they won't federate until someone on Kbin requests them. So check back a few minutes later and it'll probably load.

And like magic, now it is federating (but there have been no posts since).
