I deleted my avatar a long time ago via the profile settings on my instance. Now I noticed that it's still visible on other instances.

How do I delete my avatar on all instances?

Unfortunately profile changes do not federate well at all currently. Very inconsistent federation so no proper solution currently. Hopefully this will resolve at the software matures.

Why not upload another avatar? Maybe an empty black square or the lemmy logo?

I'm testing it with a transparent png for now.

Because I can't see the second link, all I'm saying is I see a squirrel pic on the avatar.

I uploaded a transparent png now, since deleting doesn't seem to federate.

I still see the squirrel from lemdro.id.

@squirrel
I can confirm that from mastodon, your profile pic is not a squirrel, but a default one.
