Back in the 1970s, I had to take mandatory classes at Manpower Canada in order to keep my Unemployment Benefits. Among other worker-centric things, we were told to never apply for a job that didn't offer a salary range.

Yes, because nobody wants their fucking time wasted. If I'm going to jump through all your hoops to apply for your position, and go through the interview carousel, I want to make sure it's not so that you can offer me 20% less than I make now.
