When I try to watch a video or update the channels on wifi I have to wait several minutes for things to load, but when I turn off the wifi and turn on the 4G I can use it with no problems (updating the channels and watching videos are very fast).

What can I do to fix this?

Had the same problem with a router that had broken ipv6. Connections to youtube would always fail or stall... routwr reboot did the trick.

Alao there are ipv6 test websites out there. They showed the problem.

Strange. It is just fine for me. What wifi speed do you pay for, are you on the 2.4GHz or 5GHz network, and how strong is the wifi signal?

That's the strange thing, my speed is good (500mb/s), I'm using the 5GHz network and I'm literally at the same room from the router. But only newpipe is slow on wifi, while other apps works normally.

I'm not at home now so I can't do any tests, but I tried to switch to the 2.4GHz network and I had the same problem.

That is really strange, your ISP isnt throttleing video right? I know mobile carriers will often throttle video to like 3mbps to allow no higher than 480p. If that is not the case i would try reinstalling NewPipe because that should not be happening.

I wonder if running through a VPN could test this hypothesis

Yeah, if you run it through a VPN do aspeedtest to make sure they arent slowing vpn speeds and then try newpipe
