Edit: I’ve done it from scratch now, here’s the shortcut: download

I’ve been thinking of creating a shortcut that shares an article to a specific community, with the title & url prefilled and a ChatGPT short summary of the article. I’d prefer not to start from scratch with authentication etc.

Has anyone come across a shortcut that lets me post to Lemmy that I can use as a starting point? I couldn’t find one yet.

I’ve been trying to work on something similar for !ebookdeals@literature.cafe posts. Though I’m going a bit more simple and trying to just generate the text I can use for the post title and body, then pasting them in myself.

I finished my version, here’s the link in case you’re interested. You could probably use that to automate the posting part. If mine works as it should ^^

I don’t think you can do this yet, none of the lemmy apps I have installed show up under the applications tab in shortcuts.

It may also be too complicated… it’s easy to set a shortcut to post to Mastodon, but that’s because when you post, it’s always to your own account, as opposed to Lemmy where you have to choose a community to post in.

I was thinking of going straight to the Lemmy API but that’s going to be a bit of a pain to do. I’ll report back if I managed to get something working :)

I finished it, here’s the link in case you’re interested. It was indeed quite annoying to make.
