The best version of this meme I saw it in a brazillian community, where they changed the doctor's answer for the expected one (Brazil) to "Caralho mano, este bebê fala inglês!" (Fuck dude, this baby is speaking in English!).

Dies of sudden infant death syndrome three days later

I think it'd be Fan Death, although I can't find whether or not Korea del Norte is on board with fan death or have fans.

[–] sincle354@kbin.social 28 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You know I was about to make a North Korea joke about infant mortality and the post natal care, but if you believe the statistics (13.9 per 1000 live births, 22 per 1000 at worst), they're better than 30-40% countries INCLUDING India, and handily at that (32 per 1000).

That said, I don't know if surviving childhood in NK is more or less cruel.

Rule number one about dealing with NK is don't believe anything NK says.

[–] misterundercoat@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Are you saying they actually had more than 74 deaths from covid? Preposterous!

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

And the glorious leader never poops!

[–] Kanda@reddthat.com 1 points 1 year ago

Everyone else who got covid died from getting shot in the neck

Rule number two, be really careful believing anything about North Korea in general, positive or negative. For example, a large number of North Korean defector stories have fallen apart under scrutiny, as reported by The Guardian. Then you have media outlets like Radio Free Asia making up stories wholesale, like the Kim Jong Un haircut story which turned out to be totally fabricated but still caught on like wildfire. Or the unicorn story, which also turned out to be complete bullshit.

I'm looking at world bank data that says 7.9? Wikipedia says 22, google search says 15, but none of them claim higher than India at 32. Not even estimates can give good results, but there is a distinct reduction in all sources from 121(!!!) from their 1996 famine.

But believe US propaganda outlets? How can “nothing ever come out of NK, it’s so closed off” but at the same time “NK is nuts if you cut your hair you are kill”?

edit: just to make it clear, I don’t believe the numbers NK publicises to the world. They have every reason to not be honest about their numbers, to an Imperial world that wishes to have it annihilated.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Idk what you're arguing, since you state that you don't believe the numbers coming from NK. I said don't believe them, you said you don't, yet you still seem to have a disagreement.

[–] Dozzi92@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Any opportunity for America bad.

[–] novibe@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I’m arguing that if you’re not gonna believe these numbers, don’t believe any other number either. Like that they are all starving, they all go to jail etc.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.ml 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Those other "numbers", which are actually statements, not numbers, come from NK escapees and detractors. We have no reason not to believe them. They've been corroborated multiple times.

[–] novibe@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

That’s not true at all. Detractors have everything to gain by lying. They become 5 minute celebrities and often have careers paid out by CIA-fronts like Radia Free Asia. You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about, except from seeing that absurd clown on John Rogan or something. Forgot her name. Lol

At least it’s not Florida.

Only marginally related to the meme: the notion that a smaller human being can be generated and cut out of a bigger one like that is mortifying to me. I don't know how women do it. Like... how, is that even possible? That's some shit out of a Alien movie. What the fuck is with you humans?

[–] Jimmyeatsausage@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Whoa whoa whoa...what do you mean you humans?

points at username

[–] HellAwaits@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago

Baby: "ABORT!! ABORT!!"

[–] 790@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

We have a hard time escaping our subjective perspective. It's not a lottery. There are two humans who decide with almost 100 % certainty where they create a new human. It's hard to wrap your head around that, but understanding physicalism helps. The idea that you could be someone else is wrong.

If you accept that you are a brain in a meat mecha, sure.

Pretty sure these memes are made from the perspective of souls being real and independent of the body.

Time for a re-roll 🎲

[–] saxysammyp@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

America, but you’re not rich…

[–] x4740N@lemmy.world 19 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I wouldn't want to live in america even if I was rich

[–] Nythos@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] x4740N@lemmy.world 13 points 1 year ago

I prefer europe

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.ml 11 points 1 year ago

You think those two are equivalent, do you?

[–] lowered_lifted@sh.itjust.works -1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The funny thing about this is that it's implicitly racist cope lol. DPRK sucks but why the hell would you want to be European?

[–] 1847953620@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Sounds kinda nice
