The Golden Rule: Music taste is subjective so don't be a gatekeeping asshole. There's no "bad music", only music you like or don't like.
We Are A Community: So no racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or spam.
🎵 Let's get lost in the Fediverse's record store together! 🎶

On the other hand, the lack of "Smack my Bitch Up" and "Black Hole Sun" renders me skeptical.
Thought for sure going in that “Tonight, Tonight” was going to be there
I usually refrain from decrying omissions from lists such as this... but how is "Smack My Bitch Up" not only not #1, but not even on the list at all?!?
Also, Cibo Matto's "Sugar Water" is a technical masterpiece.
There are some good shouts on the list and undeniably great videos on here, but it also feels almost entirely mainstream.
My shout for a video that wouldn't get on there but deserves it: My Recurring Dream by Cold Mailman
And of course I post this and then see the article specifically says "this isn't a thorough list!!!" lol
When I was but a young lad I remember Rolling Stone falling over themselves time and time again talking about how the music of the 1960's was so great that everything made since then paled in comparison. I remember rolling my eyes so hard I nearly lost them.
Now I know how folks who like any music videos released after 1997 must feel.
