As if AMD was never going to release a card in the most popular price/performance bracket 🙄

I would not get the 7600 because it's basically last gen tech, uses way more power than the 4060 (well, both don't use much, but it's still like 50W more), only has 8GB VRAM
But if it's 12GB with similar energy consumption, faster in ray tracing than the 4060, it would basically be in a dominating position if it's priced close to $300
The budget 12gb card would canibalize some sales hence releasing in a downwards trend. Release the lesser valueable stuff thats harder to sell before the valuable stuff to capitalize on waiters is the general idea. There are many people who refuse to use "last gen" tech and might upsell themselves because of availability.
Is the amd rx 7700 a good card for its price point? I'm tired of getting cockblocked in Linux gaming by Nvidia drivers and it seems like a good option that isn't a downgrade from what I have. I like running games at 4k even if everything else is set to medium-low quality so I hope that the real world performance of that is at least equivalent to my 1080ti.
The author is speculating that maybe it's a rehash of a 6000 series card. I'd be surprised to see that but if it is a 480/580 situation the price had better be great. Like $329/$359 great.
