As if AMD was never going to release a card in the most popular price/performance bracket 🙄

The budget 12gb card would canibalize some sales hence releasing in a downwards trend. Release the lesser valueable stuff thats harder to sell before the valuable stuff to capitalize on waiters is the general idea. There are many people who refuse to use "last gen" tech and might upsell themselves because of availability.

I would not get the 7600 because it's basically last gen tech, uses way more power than the 4060 (well, both don't use much, but it's still like 50W more), only has 8GB VRAM

But if it's 12GB with similar energy consumption, faster in ray tracing than the 4060, it would basically be in a dominating position if it's priced close to $300
