Share youtube, songwhip, spotify, bandcamp links, music memes, album art, articles, whatever! But avoid links to directly download music (don't want to get Lemmy.world in trouble). Songwhip links always appreciated!
See this post on recs on how to post!
The Golden Rule: Music taste is subjective so don't be a gatekeeping asshole. There's no "bad music", only music you like or don't like.
We Are A Community: So no racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or spam.
π΅ Let's get lost in the Fediverse's record store together! πΆ

Forces of the Unseen by Cloud Cult is my power song. Please say it can't be done, cause that's just fuel for me to do this yeah you'll see!
ugh! love Cloud Cult!
Depends how I'm feeling and what I'm trying to do.
For those difficult mornings where I need to be kicked out of bed, "Crawling" by Linkin Park or "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence do the trick.
For school stuff, anything from Weezer's blue album helps me to concentrate.
When I have to walk places, I listen to "Warning" by Green Day.
Housework is a breeze with "I Hate Jazz" by Mike Krol. It's also pretty effective against depressive slump.
For more erratic productivity, a good place to start is "Valium Knights" by Spinnerette.
And, finally, the best music for coding, hacking, and Linux stuff is either retrowave, new wave, or electronic rock. An example of each is "Nebula" by Codecrasher, "What We Do" by Devo, and "Club Foot" by Kasabian.
Sparta FC by The Fall is pretty relentless and has a great riff - a typical bit of sarcasm (single version - album version sounds like porridge)
Just in terms of a quick boost of energy: Rancid - Antennas
Apologies to any of you in California. Nothing personal. π
Accidents by Alexisonfire is the song I play when Iβm having a rough day at work and I need something to power me through the last little bit
while the iron is hot by trees
Another group that I want to say that the entire, Super Mega Fantastic, album is worth a listen.
And their follow up, Wasa Tusa, is a great chill out album
