I don’t work 40 hours a week. As someone who rents a car for Uber, I work about 72 - 80 hours a week.

Working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week would be a like a vacation for me.

The only reason I do this is because I don’t get along with bosses. Uber is a job I can do without a boss.

You don’t work 80 hours a week lol

We're talking about those PPP loans that businesses and the wealthy abused, and not student loans that people are stuck with due to systemic causes... Right... Right...

Only assholes assume that everything they enjoy in life they earned alone and that they don't benefit whatsoever from the labor or others.

I thought this was satire at first, damn why am I so optimistic

Wait a minute... could this be in protest????

[–] EvilBit@lemmy.world 71 points 1 day ago

No, you work 40 hours a week to bail out unsustainable businesses, give tax breaks to billionaires, clean up unpunished pollution, and support the infrastructure that allows corporations to pay starvation wages for 40 hour work weeks instead of living wages.

Get fucked! 🫡

Why do I get the feeling that this is the same guy with an alt account?

What is the end goal here? Lemmy is dominated by people who a strongly left leaning. Posting anything that doesn't play into the narrative will just piss them off. You are wasting your time.

Free, high quality education would prevent sad, uneducated bait like this.

How about free education? Build the country by educating people.

Im so sorry for my decision to work in a company, the CEO gambled away and got laid off because the new owner decided to sell all assets off, next time when I take a loan I look into the crystalball to see if the 2nd generation family business will exist in 20 years

Nah fuck you, fuck your money, fuck your time, since you're using it to stan for people who are happily stealing your time and my time and all our everything. I would literally steal all the capitalists' money if I could get away it.

An educated populace benefits everyone, and is a far better option than forcing someone to begin their working life in debt.

This is a rubbish take unfortunately.

[–] stinky@redlemmy.com 14 points 1 day ago (7 children)

What a disgusting take, @thisguy1092@lemmy.world.
