For some reason I hadn't tried gyro on steam deck before but I'm glad that I did, it's pretty cool! Breath of the Wild style of aiming 😌

I don't play on mobile so I haven't experienced gyro before and just got used to suck at aiming with controllers lol

Gyro is a game-changer for me, whether it's Switch, Steam Deck, or my DualSense controller on PC. You can set it up with any game (on PC) thanks to the Steam overlay. Controller is almost as viable as keyboard+mouse for me now.

I remember thinking it was a gimmick for like 5 minutes, and now it's a feature that I can't live without.

I initially hated gyro, but the more I use it, the more I want to use it.

Does this work on SteamOS now or do I still need Windows?

The official launcher works through Wine now. In Lutris, it’s the β€œThis is a clean, standard default installation.” option: https://lutris.net/games/genshin-impact/

Cool, I will give that a try.

Does it still bypass the anti-cheat? I know people say the risk is low and unlikely for bans, but I have seen Hoyoverse hand some out for Star Rail on it for use on the Steam Deck and am concerned of the risk when I already have it installed on Windows.

Nope! All that option does is install the official launcher, the Visual C++ 2019 runtime, and some fonts. Anti-cheat is untouched.

Awesome! Really glad to hear that it's finally able to run properly and without risk!
