Hey y'all, transfemby here. I've yet to start HRT (not sure I want to rn), but I really wish I had thicker hips. Today was a shitty dysphoria day about it, and it made me realize how bad I want this. Do you have any recommendations on how to achieve wider hips (and/or hourglass shape) without HRT?

Your butt are muscled so train them. For example biking, which is also healthy in general for your heart(as long as you don't super over-do it). You can also try to accentuate it a little with how you style your outfits which you probably already know a bit about, sadly idk too much about fashión.

If you want a big, muscled butt, what you want to do is deadlift. Extremely effective. But make sure you learn to do it with correct posture at relatively low weight or you can easily hurt yourself.

Hey, if hips are something you want, you need to start HRT as soon as possible. Once your bones are set they don't really change, only fat distribution (which does help, as well as the workout tips mentioned by the other commentator.

It's been my experience (at 30) that estrogen doesn't change my body, only the directions it follows when I work to change it, so I very heavily concur with the workout advice!

This advice is specifically for the hips rather than the buttocks. If you go to the gym, use the hip abductor machine, high reps and low weight, gradually increase. This is the machine where you work the gluteus medius muscle by moving your legs apart against the weighted pads. If you'd prefer to work out at home, search "hip abductor bands", they also work pretty well and you can use them sitting at a desk or something. They work by going above your knees and you stretch the band by moving your knees apart.

Not a fitness coach, or trans, just a guy who had been told he had a flat ass and wanted to prove em wrong. Happy with the results! In general if you want to feminize your body there are tutorials online about what exercises to do. Good luck!
