We don't make it rain, we make it hail

We give 5$ bills to strippers, which are worth aboot 1$ US. Plus you gotta factor in the inflation, eh.

I just want to try poutine before I die, but I seriously don't think I'll get to.

Do you have access to cheese curds?

[–] turtlepower@lemm.ee 2 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Nope. Besides, I want the "real thing". I've eaten a cheesesteak in Philly, pizza in NY, key lime pie in Florida, sushi, ramen, and too many other things to list in Japan, kimchi in Korea, curry in India, vodka in Russia; I'm sure I'm forgetting some. I want poutine in Canada, dammit!

So when you do get here, it's not real if it doesn't use cheese curds

[–] turtlepower@lemm.ee 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Well, yeah, but is there a city or province where it's more "authentic"?

You gotta go to Sherbrooke, Quebec for the best poutine. Or else Montreal.

Thanks for the tip!

Smallest Japanese bill is ¥1,000 (about $8 USD).

I had a friend come back from a work trip to Saskatchewan talking about how the skeevy strip club in town had the "toonie toss". I don't remember too much of the story except that they also didn't have booze

Went to a strip club in Canada and they only accept 5s. They didn't "make it rain" like the American strip clubs. They sorta throw it in when the girls do something special.

In Alberta they heat up the loonies or toonies with a lighter first.
