no shit, that’s when the precincts that have 500,000 people in them report in late at night because there’s so many to count.

So I am not American, but couldn't the spike have to do with rural/urban divide? Like, a polling place with a very high population, with a higher chance of voters not being conservative, reporting their count?

It's exactly that, but these people don't care. They can't even be happy with the fact they won they have to have conspiracies about every loss as if they should never lose...

Why did fox pay 800 whatever million dollar then?

its almost like those are the times people were going to work or taking lunch. How weird people would vote then, we could solve this all together and make election day a national holiday and see how the numbers work out then.

so all the air traffic controllers, and truck drivers and grocery store clerks and police officers and emergency room doctors would take that day off?

[–] HorreC@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Yes, to make sure they vote. You act like they should never be allowed days off. If we can do it for other holidays we should damn well want to do it for the one that effects our country the most.

All at the same time? every single one?

We don’t do it for other holidays, do we?

we have a minimal staff at airports for xmas, so if we can do it then (plus they heavy rotate on that day so its short shifts) then we can do it to vote.
