I think people may miss this given how everyone focuses on the percentages, but if you look at the raw numbers:

74 million people voted for trump in 2020. Currently according to AP numbers, in 2024 he's at 70 million votes.

Meanwhile:

81 million voted for Biden in 2020, while in 2024, that's 66 million for Harris.

Trump didn't win because he suddenly got more popular. The democrat voter base just collapsed by roughly 18%

I just want to put things out there because the narratives are already starting to form and everyone seems to be focusing on the percentages, and ignoring the raw numbers.
