U.S. officials with their slave prison complex should shut the fuck up about people imprisoned in other countries, especially for drugs.

I don't mind. The more people conscious of the double morale, the merrier.

Sure, but to actually understand this you need to have more than just what US msm feed you - and US population only hear about evil Putler personally torturing people for 1 gram of weed and being from the "free world" - they are rapidly reaching the nonsense level of anti DPRK propaganda and as you know westerners are guzzling that one without any noticeable amounts of scepticism.

She tried to bring cannabis products into Russia. While the sentence may be harsh, she broke the law.

Pfffffff.... It's super harsh, tbh, but.. Let's be frank, knowing shit is illegal and that international airports have super strong vigilance regarding illegal bringings... It's foolish not to expect a bad upbringing... Specially in a country that is explicitly angry against yours.

I hope she doesn't have to go to jail for this, tho.

Edit: also, U. S. Officials and newspapers should shut the fuck up if they really care about her. Now they made this routinary criminal event into an international cold battle for power. She's ruined exclusively because of this.

I don't disagree, it's illegal and it's not hard to figure that out before you try to enter a country with prohibited substances. Then again American media always play off "middle class" people who get caught bringing drugs across borders as victims of overzealous foreign regimes. The US propaganda machine absolutely could have stayed out of it in terms of making it a political issue, but they just had to leverage this woman into a political pawn.

I can only really feel bad for her because her sentence is honestly only as strong as it is because of the current conflict. Usually, rich people are able to wiggle out of these things.

Talk about 0 self preservation tho :/.
