I get my election news from all the late night shows, including Kimmel and he is fine when consumed with a mix of John Stewart, Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert.

Yeah, I visited my dad recently (he's in Canada, I'm in Scotland, so it's not even a yearly thing) and he was watching a bunch of stuff like Jimmy Kimmel, and "these are the horrible things that Trump is/has/will do" videos on YouTube. All I could think was exactly your comment.
