Want to get the DLC and start over but I'm a little afraid to sink in too many hours since there's always improvements to be made

Once your body start to fall asleep on the keyboard, that's my limit.

Do want to see if there's better alternatives

Just be aware that perfect is the enemy of good, take pleasure playing, don't over do it and be proud of what you do

Sometimes I sleep. I don't yet know how to play while sleeping so this serves as a natural boundary.

That happens maybe... three times a week? It's really inconvenient.

My dreams are filled with conveyor belts so it's almost there.

Before you start playing, set an alarm on your phone for when you will stop. When the alarm goes off, do not say "I'll just finish X before I stop" else you won't stop. Just save the game and turn it off. You could also set another alarm five minutes before to give you time to finish what you're doing, if you want.

I haven't thought about a warning alarm, this is pretty good

Fairly surprised that there isn’t a mod that lets you set a hard time limit, where it just forcibly closes the game at a certain hour.

That's heresy! The factory must grow!

If there were, I'd just have to find a way around it.

Simply become older. The older I get the less I want to do hours long sessions. But practically, I have a hard bedtime alarm on my phone, which works cause sleep deprivation and work suck.

Kids and full time job solves it: When I fall asleep at the keyboard, it is near 23:00 and time to go to bed.
