can't go back page (lemmy.world)
submitted 10 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago) by David2003@lemmy.world to c/firefox@lemmy.world

When I sometimes click a link , the return-to-the-previous-page button ( arrow left ) is inactive , but it should be possible for me to return to previous page. What is the problem?

If the link opens in a new tab you wouldn't be able to.

Sometimes links redirect and open a new tab while the original loads something it shouldn't. With an extension like ublock it will sometimes automatically prevent the unwanted page from loading and close it quickly leaving you with the new tab but no history.

It could also be a no history/private tab setting.
