@sewing I was concerned that a denim jumper/pinafore dress would read as "preschool teacher) but I am quite happy with a fit of this Persephone dress from Made for Mermaids.

It does kinda read as pre-school teacher, I'm just not sure why that would be a bad thing?

Absolutely not a bad thing. A classy preschool teacher who loves their job and is a pleasure to be around.

That said, preschool teacher would not have come to mind had it not been in the title. It's just a nice outfit that's being worn well!

That is goddamned gorgeous. Perfect fit. Great style.

Fits beautifully, curves gracefully, layers well, would also look good with boots, I don't see pockets but there's definitely potential for them, and you can move around in it without unwanted exposure. Well done you!

@Mouselemming thank you! It was a 2 yard remnant from my stash. It was a choice between pockets or ruffle and the ruffle won. I call it a win because I can't believe I made it with only 2 yards.

Love the ruffle. You could always add side-seam pockets from a different scrap of material if you find yourself wanting somewhere to put your phone and keys.

I imagine denim is hard to sew, because it's thick and stiff. Did you have any particular trouble?

@clay_pidgin No, this is a lighter one. I don't think it would be appropriate for jeans, but it's heavier than chambray.

Thank you for the reply. Your dress looks very nice.
