Also, fuck the magistrate judge who signed off on this. Nobody ever expected the police to be anything more than children looking to throw rocks, but the system was made so that the judicial branch has to approve things and be the adults.
I know the main story is about the depressingly baffling incompetence of the cops, but my main takeaway is once again that the war on drugs sure was a huge fucking mistake leading to immeasurable pain, suffering and wasted resources.
I imagine someone is noting this down for a future Police Academy film.
I suspect he’s also going to become a training example for a lot of other people in various professions as well
