I really, really hope Twitter collapses underneath Musk's ego. The twitter migration to the fediverse has really brought a ton of people over. Maybe we can even do a Reddit->Lemmy migration in the future.

I don’t think this will happen. So called social media is in the center of egoism, egocentrism, egomaniac and narcissism.

This is dangerous for freedom and democracy, for an open and liberal society.

I agree. I was listening to a podcast where a couple of journalist were saying how they hated twitter, but they felt they needed it to promote their work. As you said, this type of thinking is dumb and dangerous.
