just after national said they would not endorse anyone trump claimed they endorsed him. its like he thinks he wins all ties.

He does think that. He’s the kind of guy that if you made a good move against him in a board game, he would flip the table over then claim since nobody can prove he lost, it means he won.

My cousin is IBEW in Ohio. He outright said that their union branches outright telling them that the orange turd will end unions if elected. This does make me feel a bit better, but there are problematic people who value being racist more than they value their jobs

He's right. Also, project 2025 assholes will rework overtime rules so no one will get overtime pay.

Oh, you have a contract, you say?

Bless your heart, say hello to a 6-3 decision that invalidates your contract.

The UAW has called me saying that. I haven’t been in their union in years

O'Brien's non-endorsement ended up being a boon to Harris - if the national leaders had endorsed her, it would have been in the news for a day. Now, instead we get a nice drip-drip of local leaders lining up to lend actual grassroots support, which is actually effective at things like maximizing turnout, and local endorsements end up in local news.

I just put together that y'all aren't talking about the transporter room Chief.

[–] rockSlayer@lemmy.world 9 points 7 hours ago

I keep telling people that union leaders are way more clever than they realize, but people keep assuming that O'Brien is working on the surface level.

Maybe that's the real mistake that that Hoffa guy was actually talking about lol
