"Hi! I like shorts! They're comfy and easy to wear!". Those are the famous words uttered by Youngster Joey in Generation I (though he was unnamed until Generation 3). You encounter him on Route 3, on the way to Mt. Moon. His team consists of a Rattata and an Ekans.

Correction

Um actually ... Joey does not say those words. The quote is from Youngster Ben instead. Youngster Joey is the other famous Youngster, known for his endless praise of his Rattata in Generation II.
