Is it called that because it looks similar to a coffee plant or because it also makes a decent beverage?

EDIT: nvm. I was too curious to wait for a response.

This is not a coffee substitute (Pinkley 1969; Austin 2004). Its common name is may be a reference to some visual similarity to coffee

Haha yeah I've read that it could technically be brewed into a terrible coffee but that it will cause headaches.

The corner store on my block has a beautiful 8-foot tall indoor coffee tree that blooms each year. Not the same plant, or native, lol, but the picture made me think of it.

That's awesome, do they get coffee from it?

They said it made very few berries, unfortunately. It got good ambient light, but no particular grow lighting or anything
