A place to talk about roller coasters and parks that have them. Everyone is welcome here to both learn and to celebrate these magnificent machines designed to scare you.

Here are some important resources:

  1. RCDB
  2. Thrill Data
  3. Coast2Coaster
  4. Terminology and Abbreviations

Images are welcome if they are of high quality and it doesn't get out of hand. Please use PostImages to upload your image and then use that link in the URL field of your post (other image sites are permitted but Post Images has the best policies and compatibility).

Some basic rules:

  1. Opinions, theories, and facts are all welcome – but be clear about what you’re saying.

  2. Back up facts with sources as much as possible

  3. No spam or sell-promotion. Linking to your own media or site is permissible only if it’s specifically related to a topic/post that someone else created.

  4. No photos or videos taken on the rides. This is dangerous and shouldn't be encouraged.

  5. Limit political discussion. When discussed it must be park related.

  6. No fictional coasters (models, no limits, planet coaster, etc)

  7. No posting personal information.

  8. No shaming of anyone. We all can continue to learn and not everyone knows everything -- and that's ok.

The 152ft drop will be beyond straight down at 95 degrees on this new B&M dive coaster coming in 2024.

Very solid addition for Dorney. I'm bummed this doesn't have a mid course and second dive drop but I'm sure it'll be a huge crowd pleaser for the park.

Yea it's a good fit for the park but I'm still really bummed that they went with the dive rather then the Gravity Group shuttle coaster...... The only silver lining is possessed gets to coexist.

Maybe the 95 degree drop will be the extra bit that's needed but I generally think dive coasters are just ok.

Either way this is extremely great news for Dorney..... They've needed something for a while.

The 95 degree drop is definitely nice to have, you do feel it on Dr Diabolical. Although it's still a bit neutered with the vest restraints. What I really would have loved to see is a dive coaster that doesn't immediately go into an immelman for once!

I'm looking forward to giving it a shot..... The beyond vertical on Maverick is incredible so I'm hoping it'll be a marked improvement on a dive as well.

Dorney Park was the local amusement park of my childhood! The Hercules was the big coaster that opened during high school or middle school.
