"This pricing strategy was likely implemented to maximize profits," Thompson said.

I see they brought Sherlock Holmes in on the case.

Well then by all means let them merge with Albertsons. What could possibly go wrong?

literally everyone could tell by looking. you don't need an exec to 'admit' something that is obvious at a glance.

This is America...

Price points are set as high as people will pay, not what shit is worth or costs to produce.

What did people think we'd end up with massive deregulation?

This is literally what fucking capitalism is: price gouging whenever possible for as much money as possible.

Don't like it?

Good. Fucking vote more. Vote for progressives that will actually try to undo the damage republicans have done, it ain't enough to vote for neoliberals who want to leave shit exactly as fucked up as it currently is, that's just waiting between times republicans get to fuck shit up. Because half ass neoliberals aren't enough to consistently keep republicans out of office.

"Both Kroger and Albertsons say the proposed merger allows them to team up to better compete with global behemoths like Walmart. Plus, the merger will reportedly produce significant efficiencies."

Giant corporations are bad! We should be able to merge into a giant corporation!

Can't wait to move to Night City...
