Better ratings and bigger crowds. Gotta love hitting trump where it hurts

It's kind of crazy, cuz you'd think the RNC would be way more of an "entertaining spectacle". But I could see not being able to stomach it for long no matter how curious you were.

It was so bad. Kid Rock was probably the highlight and he was absolute garbage.

It was as white and geriatric and patriarchal as any session of the Mormon church "General Conference."

I watched maybe 30 minutes the night they announced JD vance. It was awful.

To the surprise of no one but the Fanta Menace.

I know I was only interested initially to see if there would be an open convention. Then I found out votes were cast remotely.

That had been in the news for a couple weeks, it wasn't a surprise. It was the only way to get the new team on the ballot in Ohio for one thing, because of the filing deadline.

The convention became about setting out the party's goals, fostering unity and purpose, and telling enough about Kamala and Tim so delegates could answer questions back home. Also it gave a lot of time for down-ticket candidates to introduce themselves and muster support.

In my defense, the conventions are usually just rah rah speeches on an outcome already settled. There's usually no reason to watch either major party's convention much less pay attention to their rules.

Yes this year the DNC was an unconventional convention, not just a Party but a Partay! Still had some dull parts but I was surprised. My husband tried to watch a little of the RNC, I wouldn't even go in the room and he didn't last 10 minutes.
