This seems kinda silly, but I remember someone here was asking this exact product awhile back.

To be clear, this is for just the pillow and mounting arm, which can be used with various devices. For the steam deck specific mount, you'll also need this, or their full steam deck bundle.

Alternatively if you have access to a 3D printer, they provide most of their designs here.

Maybe I don't play long enough sessions for this to be a concern, but I just...hold the Steam Deck. Elbows on the couch is a pretty solid mount lol.

Resting your elbows is the key there.

If I play on the couch I get the issue this solves, but a dock and a controller solve that if I must be on the couch.

This is really nice for games optimized for the touch screen such as Football Manager or Magic the Gathering. Holding the deck with one hand and playing with the other is uncomfortable after a while.

Sometimes I forget the Steam Deck has a touch screen. I definitely wouldn't want to support the Deck one handed for more than a few minutes.

Interesting. I’ve personally never had a problem with my arms falling asleep, and this looks like it would force my arms into a weird uncomfortable position, but I’m sure there are some people who would really like this.

@pathief@lemmy.world I think you were the one asking for something like this.

Thanks for remembering me! I ended up getting a pillow for iPad.

This looks like a much, much nicer solution. Unfortunately shipping to Portugal alone is 71 euros making this a truly unreasonable price for me. Hopefully they get really popular and come to Europe!

I thought this was ridiculous but the kitty cuddles while playing sold me.

This is fucking genius

I just use an IKEA Len pregnancy/breastfeeding pillow. Does the job very well.

When gaming on the couch I just put a neck roll on my stomach and rest the deck on there.

I need to tell this my bro, he will love it. :D

With access to a 3d printer one could print something like this https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5430213/ (that I did print and works fine) or any other similar design.
