No surprise there.

A considerable part of the Republican agenda boils down to one simple fact - history has passed them by, and they don't have enough popular support to win legitimately.

Faced with that situation, they broadly have two alternatives - to change to accommodate a changing world or to lie and cheat in order to try to win in spite of their lack of popular sppeal.

And they've chosen the latter.

And it really is just that simple
