Looks like the same question was asked on reddit once; they suggested Mia and the Migoo. Trailer.

No wonder I couldn't find it searching for anime, this is a French animated movie.
Damn, it looks like my memory had a little fun of me, but thanks to you, I am 90% sure that's it. Now I have to explain why I posted it there haha thank you so much!!!
Can you provide a year estimate when you saw it?
Sounds like a mix of nature and tech. I haven't seen this movie, but one that seems to kind of fit based on the wiki plot summary would be Origin: Spirits of the Past.
Made in Abyss has upside-down trees, but nothing else about that series matches up really.
Good luck in your quest!
It's not this one, but I definitelly would love to have a look, thanks for a recommendation!
The anime you are describing is likely Deltora Quest. It features a young girl named Jasmine who, along with her companions, embarks on a quest to save the kingdom of Deltora and its mystical tree. The tree appears to be dying but is later revealed to be growing upside down. Jasmine's companions, who resemble clay golems, try to prevent her father from destroying the tree with a bazooka. The story unfolds in a fantasy setting with mountains, aligning with your description.

Great job finding that! I started reading the synopsis, but then realized that it was crazy long. Kudos to whatever fan was dedicated enough to write such a long synopsis, but I couldn't stick around and read the whole thing.
I read the books over and over as a child and knew the anime diverged from them but holy shit none of that sounds like the story I'm familiar with except the name jasmine and the fact that there are mountains
Edit: I skimmed/searched the linked page and that description doesn't actually sound accurate to the show as a whole, so maybe that's just a singular episode?
Edit 2: It sounds like the thing OP was looking for wasn't Deltora Quest after all, which makes me extremely skeptical your description has any truth to it at all.
What're the odds it's just ai?
It definitely reads like an ai hallucination, lol
Alright, you got me to go back and read that waaaay too long synopsis. This is definitely not it. There are tree themes/characters in the story, but not like OP describes.
