Americantall.com is where I've been buying from recently. Do you have another option? ' I'm 6'4" and 200 pounds. A typical large is too short. XL and XXL is wider and not longer. I need a place to order a Large X-Long.

Try Duluth Trading Company. They have very high quality clothes for large men. They are pricey but totally worth it for fit and durability.

I can second the Duluth recommendation, I get half my stuff there. Their pants fit me great.

If you put on another 20 pounds then the XL will fit you perfectly 👌

I'll still be too tall for it. I'll need an XL-Long.

XL-T

Anytime you see shirts with a T on the end it means "Tall" and they are cut longer for people like you.

DXL has a great selection, but they tend to be very pricey and about 10-15% of their clothes fall apart after a few months. The other 85-90% are great. Clearance bin is where I tend to browse.

JC Pennys has sold me XLT stuff for drastically lower prices than DXL

[–] Mellow12@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

I second XLT.

A large for me is basically a men’s crop top, and my shoulders are too wide, so I have to up-size to an XL. An XLT is almost always a perfect fit unless it shrinks in the wash.

OneBone It's not the cheapest, but all their stuff is made specifically to fit big guys. Their shirts generally have longer cuts that keep them from riding up or feeling too short. Be sure to check their size chart to get your specific cut as their sizing is non-standard.

I get tees from old navy, they have a tall option that's a longer shirt but same sizing.

[–] RoidingOldMan@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

I'll look into it, but I've tried their underwear and it's terrible.

My sons are tall - 6'4 and 150-180#. Levis and Gap/old navy sell sizes on their websites and on Amazon that aren't in stores. Also there are a couple of tall online stores. I'll try to find them.

Eddie Bauer usually has a moderate selection of big and tall clothes. I buy "large tall" shirts there.

[–] jollychimpanzee@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Kingsize. Some of their shirts have a longer length option that adds an inch or two to the length.

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

The men's wearhouse. It can get a little expensive of course, but I've never had a problem with a shirt from there having the wrong size collar.

DXL has treated me ok over the years.

Eddie Bauer and Carhartt are my go-tos. Both carry tons of tall sizes. Wrangler has some too and may be cheaper.

Take a holiday in the Netherlands, visit any clothes shop, enjoy the length. Source: Am a 6'4 2xl Brit and shopping in Amsterdam is sartorial paradise.

In the UK, Jacamo are excellent.

[–] morhp@lemmynsfw.com 2 points 3 months ago

Not the easiest option, but you can sew your own clothes.

Https://Freesewing.org was created by a large guy who couldn't find good clothes in his size, so he started to design his own ones.

I’m 6’7” and use girav. They have a lot of length options. I think they’re Dutch but also deliver in other countries. Not entirely sure. But Dutch brands accommodate very wel for longer sizes.

Kingsize.com ?

Gap has tall men's pants and shirts. Pants 36" inseam and longer through the rise. They go up to 38" I think, maybe 40" but the longer rise really helps, they are not just long in the legs.
