I just updated to the latest build and I noticed an issue on the accounts tab. It looks a little wonky and I can’t access my account.

I hope it gets fixed on the next update. But overall, the app looks very nice and smooth. A worthy successor to Apollo.

Yeah sorry that update was very rushed (this is what I get for still not wrapping my brain around the fact people actually use my app lol) since I published it right before I went flying, but yes should be fixed in 1.6.142. Also that's definitely far too much praise for right now, but it really means a lot, thank you!

I just saw the update. Account access was fixed. However I’m having trouble with replying to comments. Perhaps something got broken.

Sorry for being the bearer of bad news. I really liked you app, in my top 3 actually. I want you to succeed. 😊

Hmmm… I’m sending this comment from the app right now (first test so we’ll see if this sends lol), where in the process are you encountering issues?

EDIT: Found the issue, seemed to be only with some comments? Honestly zero idea what the issue was or why my fixed worked (if anyone knows SwiftUI and wants to take a look at my fix I'd love advice: hacky lines. But anyway, fixed in 1.6.145

Yey it’s fixed thank you! You’re very fast.

Any plans on having a button for manually hiding read posts?

[–] mrlavallee@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Thanks! And yeah I’ll work on that next!

Ok added in 1.6.147! Does need to be enabled in settings first though, sorry I had to go to bed first lol

Hey man thank you! I just saw it. Although I don’t think it’s working as intended though. Pressing it just puts me at the top of the feed and removes my upvotes. Also, comment reply got broken I think.

Also huh, it works for me, could you possibly upload a video somewhere showing what happens?

[–] Jackolantern@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Hmn. Reply seems to be working now. Will try to replicate.

Thanks for your very quick updates

Ah yeah, moving to a custom bottom bar had caused so many problems lol, should be fixed now tho!

[–] Jackolantern@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Hello! Sorry I keep on trying but it’s either my posts do not mark as read or that the hide button is kinda loopy.

All that happens when I press it is that I go to the top of my feed.

[–] mrlavallee@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Yeah, it’s meant to scroll you to the top, the posts title should be shown as greyed out when read, is that happening? Might be worth checking your settings?

[–] Jackolantern@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Hello!

Now I know, it seems that the posts doesn’t get read upon scroll. That’s why the hide read button only moves me to the top of the feed.

Screenshot of my settings

Not sure if you could see the above to I uploaded it to Dropbox so that you can check it out.

Ahhh, silly me, I was testing marking read by tapping on them, the marking read on scroll got broken by the new tab view (starting to regret it lol) but should be fixed now (1.6.151)!

It’s now working perfectly holy shit. You are fast!

Thank you and good job! I wish more app developers are like you.

Thanks! I'm realizing I'm so lucky this is over my summer break so I can focus on this rather than high school (not that I focus that much anyway lol), the timing of reddit going crazy was great for me lol.

No man. The lemmy community is lucky to have a great developer like you leading the charge.

[–] Jackolantern@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Oh. But the posts should get hidden?

Hey thank you for replying! I’m excited to see what you will do with the app! Take care!
