... That is if you are a citizen of the European Union. If the petition reaches 1 million signatures, the European Commission (basically the government of the EU) is legally required to at least introduce it as a proposed law.

I feel the same. They do have around 250,000 signatures so far so who knows. Even if the EU resists, it might get more publicity.

Not an EU citizen, but good luck to EU citizens. I hope this achieves something significant on the wealth tax front because it will start to spread elsewhere if it's adopted by the EU.

The rich can afford to be taxed properly, enough to minimize their power over generations! Their money could do a lot of good, if only it were pried from their avaricious hands.

If I were an EU citizen, I'd sign!
