I have a filter button at the bottom of my ellipsis menu that lets me block the community, user, or instance.

Oh wow, I didn't realize filter == block ๐คฆ
It isn't strictly equivalent, as filter only works on Sync, whereas block is a Lemmy account feature. If you only use Sync though, filter is great.
To add to this, you can filter instances, but you can't (yet) block them.
That computes. I hope instance blocking comes to lemmy as a feature eventually ๐ค

I agree, I especially can't stand the communities who just dump entire archives of reddit posts. Would be nice to block those communities easily
